Osseo Area Schools is seeking a dedicated individual to join us in maintaining our buildings and grounds. As a Groundskeeper, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our facilities are well-kept and operational, contributing to the overall success of the educational experience.

Role will include:

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety while performing year-round grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, pruning, weeding, debris removal, and general landscape care.
• Prepare, maintain, and stripe athletic fields (natural and synthetic) to ensure safe, high-quality playing surfaces.
• Perform ice maintenance, including operating specialized equipment to maintain safe and acceptable playing conditions.
• Support seasonal and facility needs such as snow removal and de-icing to ensure safe walking and driving surfaces.
• Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on facilities and systems, including concrete, blacktop, fencing, irrigation, and basic HVAC components.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repair of equipment, along with general cleanup and other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid MN Driver’s License.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Willingness to obtain an MN Specialist boiler license, commercial driver’s license, and EPA certified pesticide applicator license within one year of hire date.
• Strong commitment to safety practices.
• Basic computer skills, including email communication.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and materials.
• Understanding of safety precautions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Work experience in commercial groundskeeping or ice arena operation.

Salary and Benefits:

• Competitive starting salary at $21.92/hr to $30.79/hr based on experience.  
• Generous benefit package including health insurance, paid sick and vacation time, paid holidays, 403b match, state pension plan.

Location and Shift Times:

• Year round position.
• Ice Arena, Tuesday - Saturday, 2:30 PM to 11 PM, September 1st through April 30th. 
• District Grounds Crew, Monday - Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM, May 1st through August 30th.
