As a Building Custodian, you’ll play a key role in maintaining our facilities, equipment, and grounds, ensuring they are clean, safe, and conducive to learning.

A successful Building Custodian demonstrates a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment while effectively communicating with colleagues and supervisors. They take initiative in addressing maintenance needs and solving problems, provide excellent customer service to facility users, collaborate with principals and staff to resolve issues promptly, and show a willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Your Role Will Include:

• Performing cleaning tasks and maintaining facilities to district standards
• Handling minor repairs and maintenance across various trades
• Supporting kitchen staff, maintaining grounds, and managing event setups
• Provide excellent customer service and complete reports promptly

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• MN First Class C boiler license preferred or willingness to obtain an MN Specialist boiler license within one year of hire
• Experience or training in commercial facility maintenance is a plus

Salary and Benefits:

• Starting pay: $19.70 up to $26.34/hour (based on experience)

• Full Time, 2nd Shift position: hours 3 PM - 11:30 PM
• Full Time, 2nd Shift Float position: hours 3 PM - 11:30 PM
• Full Time, Daytime Float position
• Part time Float position
• Year-round position with a 5-day work week
