The Assistant Coordinator of Maintenance Services for Osseo Area Schools ensures well-maintained facilities and equipment to support student success. This role provides leadership to the maintenance team, collaborates with Facilities Operations, and oversees preventive maintenance processes while ensuring compliance with district standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide direction to maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance procedures for HVAC, boilers, plumbing, and grounds equipment
- Manage department resources, monitor budgets, and recommend capital replacement plans
- Oversee maintenance and repair work, collaborating with contractors and reviewing work orders to prioritize tasks
- Evaluate facilities, identify improvement needs, and contribute to the 10-year facilities plan
- Communicate effectively with staff, resolve conflicts, and maintain a positive organizational presence
- Ensure compliance with policies, rules, and regulations
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Five years of experience in building operations or systems maintenance
- Relevant experience in facility operations management or maintenance supervision
- Licensure requirements:
- Chief Boilers License (within 2 years).
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) License (within 1 year)
- EPA Underground A/B Tank Certification (within 1 year)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Chief Boilers License
- Certified Pool Operator License
- CFC Refrigeration Certification
Salary and Benefits:
- Full Time, $98,843–$111,991/year
